The "File Den" free file hosting service lets upload your image, document, audio, and video files to put links to on other websites, auctions, communities, or to share with friends and family. The free filesharing service has an unregistered version where people that do not want to register can anonymous upload files up to 50mb in size with these file extensions supported (images only): jpeg, jpg, png, gif, bmp. With free registration, each user gets 500 MB of personal allocated storage space and many other features to make sharing files easy, such as ability of uploading more filetypes, such as mp3, txt, avi, wmv, mpg, mpeg, doc. If you are registered, you can upload files that are as large as 50 megabytes each. If you are uploading many files, there is a batch upload feature -- simply upload a Zip file (must be named "upload.zip" or "batch.zip") containing all your files. There is no specified time limit that hosted files are removed from the free filehosting server -- files stay there "forever". Hotlinking (direct linking files) works, but only on files that are uploaded by registered users (i.e. not uploaded to the server using the anonymous uploader). The maximum downloads per month is 5GB for free accounts. FileDen is currently running on a modified version of the celerondude.com script.

I love this host - it is so much better than other free hosting sites I have had before, and believe me, I know my stuff when it comes to web hosts now. It is by far the best file host I have ever come across on my time on the net. Here's why:
- It's free hosting
- 50 MB Upload limit
- 500 MB Storage limit
- Unlimited Bandwidth
- Batch file option
- Fast response time
- Dedicated Servers Hosting
- You can hotlink files
- Files stay forever
- And so much more...
All of these features are double that of other free filehosts I have used before in the past. I have discovered some things about this file host of course, but it still remains at a 10rating. Unlike other free file hosts, you can only upload to 25 files at a time, even with the batch file option. No biggie - it's better than other hosts where I could only do about 7 at a time and it took about fifteen minutes to do those seven - and they were less than 2 MB too. 25 files that were under 50 MB took a lot less time.
Only negative thing I have noticed is the little bug notices that pop up after uploading files - but they were successfully uploaded and there aren't any problems. I am sure they will fix that easily like they did with the coding that stopped registration for a few hours. Unlike other hosts (where I would have had to wait for a week), they were up and running again the next day (note I discovered this late at night and woke up really early).
Uploading is a bit slow, but of course, I was uploading music files at the max (25). Smaller and simpler files like .doc and .html files at about five or six at a time should be a breeze to upload. The people here are nice (you just get that vibe), the layout is wonderfully refreshing, and it is very user friendly. I have yet to have any problems with downloading any files (I always check to make sure I got the codes right).
I haven't found a help desk or a contact page, but I am sure that they are going to add one soon, like others have said in their reviews. The TOS etc. is also easily found and easy to understand - no large terminology and complicated legal terms either.
It's just wonderful. FileDen is a blessing for those who have websites and need a free file hosting server. For those whom need a dedicated host, check this place out. Itâ??s worth it.

An excellent free host! It gives you unlimited bandwidth AND you're allowed to hotlink to your files. This means you can host music free on your website! File Den is the greatest. thanks!

I loved the site. It's faster and better, and the best of all free file hosting services. It allows direct links to hosted files, giving unlimited bandwidth and enough storage space - 500mb.

Pretty good at what it does. Works great for free hotlinking, and early uploading bugs are gone! though still has problems when uploading larger files, even if safely below the 50 megabytes limit. It just won't take files above 40 megabytes, at least  still, an excellent file host and the one I will use the most. I just wish folders would be browseable. Then again, it's free. well worth the registration.
