"Image Cave" provides free imagehosting, with image manipulation tools such as image resizing, conversion, rotate, compression, thumbnail and photo album generation. Direct linking and remote loading are allowed, so you can directly link any of your photos, albums, thumbnails, or album lists on any website, such as eBay auction, Live Journal, Blogger.com, or anywhere you need to post pictures. Short URLs (usera.imagecave/you/). Signing up is required, and paid upgrades are available for more storage space and allowed bandwidth. It now features unlimited data transfer (unlimited bandwidth), 10 MB image storage. BMP, JPG, PNG, GIF support. Free accounts are limited to 250 KB GIF or 1 MB JPG image files. JPG images over 250 KB will be compressed, BMP images will be converted to JPG files, and larger images will be rejected.

I LOVE this site. it NEVER resizes my images, unlike photobucket, and offers virtually unlimited storage space.

I love that I can change the size of the images. it helps a lot when putting the images on myspace.

I am so new to all this and imagecave.com made it really easy for me to navigate through everything and make my myspace page something I enjoy doing, probably too much! I've only used the site for about a month now and it's been very reliable. I really like to do fun looks with my pictures; I've discovered other sites for this, but it would be nice to have it all on one. Overall, a good host to upload images for myspace free. Thank you!

With its modest 10 megabyte storage and 1024 megabyte monthly bandwidth per free account (paid upgrades available), Image Cave is obviously trumped in the allowed capacity department by such other free photo hosts such as Photobucket, iamgeshack, and myfilehut. However, two considerations spur my 10 rating. I've had an account there for over a year and have never known ImageCave to have a server outage. Further, and seemingly unique to ImageCave, is their photo optimizing, which, with no downgrade of quality to my eyes, can take uploaded photos in mid-three figure kilobyte range and reduce them to under 100k, sometimes dramatically so. Not only does this mean faster loading to wherever you hot link, but you can indeed replace originals on your harddrive with the post-optimized and more sensibly sized photos. In particular, this is of no small help if you are dealing with dial-up.
