"IMG Bolt" is a free image hosting service (and free file hosting services for a few non-image file types) that enables people to easily upload, link, and share images, photos, full Flash movies, and more on mySpace, blogs, message boards, photo sharing, and Ebay auctions, with hotlinking allowed. Public users can use the anonymous upload form on their ImgBolt home page to upload pictures up to a 1 MB max file size of these file extensions/formats: jpeg, jpg, png, gif, bmp, tif, tiff (with 1 GB monthly data transfer per image). With optional free registration, registered members can upload images up to 15 MB maximum filesize of these allowed filetypes: jpg, jpeg, png, gif, bmp, tiff, tif, psd, zip, swf (Flash), doc, txt, pdf (Adobe Acrobat documents), and can use 30 GB monthly bandwidth.

Poor design (somewhat confusing and counter-intuitive to use) and very limited capability compared to some of the better free image hosts (no slide-show).

I signed up to Imgbolt as a link from this site. I use it mainly to host pictures for Ebay auctions. It is a professional and clear site which is easy to use. However, after only five days I found that the server had crashed and all of my photos did not load during the downtime. I had auctions finishing within the hour, and they sold for half of the usual expected price. I know this service is free, although after my experience I would rather pay a small fee for improved up time and customer service.
