PhotoAmp.com is a free anonymous image host by PhotoJerk.com that requires no registration. It has no upload or bandwidth limit, or time restrictions on the hosting of images. Supports many image file types, such as JPG, GIF, and PNG, and more filetypes can be added upon request. Hotlinking is allowed (direct linking to the hosted image on their server). Compatable with eBay auctions, MySpace, and more. Images can be hotlinked directly, or can be shown on a web page with an optional rating button (useful for screenshots, wallpapers, etc.). The "Rate my image" feature allows you to see what other people think of your picture or photo.

I just found out about Photo Amp yesterday, October 27, when it seems they were having some hardware problems. I uploaded five small pictures and they got up OK, but later in the day, it APPEARED to accept the upload and did not show me a thumbnail, and then said "Page not found" when I tried to view the picture. I have to presume these problems are being worked on, as Alan stated, and the service will be back in order soon. The speed and quality of the hosting for the pictures that worked was just fine. No complaints. What I like most about the site is how simple it is to use. No registering or signing up or signing in; just go, upload, and you get your links. I like the picture rating facility also. Although I don't need the extra help with how to code for various uses, I appreciate there are those who can use it, so that's a nice feature. It would be nice if the list of link formats could be presented more compactly, so I don't have to scroll too far down to see my thumbnail. Alternatively, how about showing the thumbnail near the top of the page? Thanks to Photoamp for a service I'm sure I will use a lot. I will donate a little something now and again, as I sincerely appreciate what you are all doing.

We have been working to improove speed. Speeds should be much better now. Over the last 2 days we have been repairing a hard disk failiure. all images uploaded now will stay online for the advertised time.
We are sorry for any inconvenience caused.

It promised a certain amount of days for photos to be up, but dissapeared on the last day of my auctions on ebay. Lost big money.
