This website offers free file hosting of images, docs, zips, music, video, and other file types. The download link given can be posted on other websites and message boards. No signup is required, but gives more features such as allowing password protection and file statistics. Limitations: Max file size 60 MB; File types allowed: all except bat, pl, cgi, js, exe, and php files. There is no bandwidth limit set. All hosted files with no downloads for 30 days will be deleted.

To answer the questions below:
- We make money when people click the small Google ads (text ads), that is how to can afford the upkeep (is betting huge atm).
- About the links. It is VERY IMPORTANT you use the link given by the system, DO NOT use a link to the picture it self. The link given by the system is a dynamic url (hidden with mod_rewrite), the link looks like this: http://www.savefile.com/redir/5231.ext
If you use this url, then you will be fine. Again: DO NOT use the "direct link" (ex. http://www.savefile.com/users/uploads.... etc)

2 Thumbs up! I love the way with no signing up required. When they say they're changing the link daily or whatever, does that mean the pictures on my site will break the time the url changes. I mean, I don't want that happening to me! I worked hard on these images I made for my site!

I like it so far... but I'm suspicious. How do they make money? There's no obvious advertising on the page. No body is giving stuff out for free these days. I want to know how they can afford to host people's files.

Savefile support:
"Erm... How do the images turn out? I keep hosting images at various places and they look... Yuck. They go kind of mottely, and lose the detail and colour... Does that happen here? Please tell me - Thanx."
- We dont edit the images in any way. If the file is large it may take a few seconds (10-15) to upload (depends on your upload speed). If you choose to stop the upload before it is complete, then you will get a ugly picture.
Also, we changed our links.
Earlier users needed to use a dynamic url to reach their files (ex. http://www.savefile.com/redir.php?id=2332). We got alot of complaints because most forums dosen't allow "dynamic images", so we changed it. The link is still dynamic (means you NEED TO USE it, because we change filenames a couple of times daily), but it seems like it is a direct link to the file so all forums allow it :P
the news links look like this: http://www.savefile.com/users/2332.gif (it looks like a standard link but it isn't).
