"Village Photos" is a free image host compatible with WebTV, eBay, Yahoo Auctions and Stores, other auction sites, EZBoard, and more. Free users get storage space for 50 images, URL filtering to prevent unauthorized hotlinking/bandwidth theft, access to their Page Designer HTML tools, image rotation/resize/compression, thumbnails, public and/or private online photoalbums (photo galleries) with titles/captions for each image, create and send online greeting cards using your own images, order prints of upload images, and can post the images on other websites. You can FTP upload images or use browser upload. Direct linking images is allowed ("hot linking"). Free signup is required. Several paid upgrade plans are also available for more features. Limitations: Maximum 50 images; GIF or JPG file formats supported; File size limit 250 KB; 1000 MB monthly data transfer (pictures in public photo albums have no bandwidth limits); 90-days inactivity limit.

Update to my review - Village Photos just upped the limits on all their accounts. My limit just went from 350 to 650 pictures for $6.00 a month! Still unlimited bandwidth for ebay auctions as long as pix are under 100K. Awesome!

I did extensive research when I decided I needed to find an external service to host my ebay photos. I didn't want to keep paying per picture with ebay, but I was discouraged by the bandwidth limits most external services imposed. I even did a free trial with one service, but it put my photos in random order which I really didn't like. I finally found Village Photos and when I read their hosting plan details, I was delighted to discover that they place no bandwidth limits on hits from ebay auctions (if your pix are all under 100K - plenty big for most auctions)! I signed up for the free account, was so pleased I quickly upgraded to their plan B, and eventually upgraded again to their plan C. I've been using them almost a year now. I currently pay $6 a month and can host up to 350 pictures with unlimited ebay bandwidth as long as they are under 100K! It doesn't get better than that. But my favorite thing about Village Photos is their customer service. When I've had questions, they've answered them VERY quickly and thoroughly - sometimes within 15 minutes. Service like that is hard to find these days. The only service problem I've ever experienced with them was a brief slowdown (about an hour long) when they were sending out a mass email to all subscribers informing them of free additional perks they were adding to their photo hosting plans. Hard to hold that against them! I tell everyone I know who sells on ebay auctions to quit giving ebay that per-picture money and go with Village Photos. It's easy to use and it's great not to have to worry about how many pictures I'm putting in each ebay listing. It's definitely true that more pictures=higher bids. This is the perfect service for any ebay seller with moderate volume. I highly recommend!

Villagephotos is the best service oriented website I have ever had the pleasure to deal with. I love your new bandwith updates and also the ability to download up to 10 pics at one time. I love this photo hosting service and have used it for over a year. It has a good list tool for ebay auctions that I use. Any problems are answered promptly and intelligently. I would highly recommend.

It would be nice if you could provide a way for our images to be watermarked to prevent image theft. Other than that, I've been very pleased with the service you provide.

I would have given you a 10 but there is one thing... the photo uploading feature where you drag and drop does not work for Mac. If it did I would jump for joy! Other than that, I love village photos, it's great.
