| Description: |
This is a free file hosting service provider that allows you to share files up to 80MB each (80 MB filesize limit), with optional file description. Split files can be uploaded (after using a file splitting program) if the filesize is bigger than 80 megabytes. ohShare does not delete files hosted on their web server unless it violates their TOS or if there is no download activity on the file in the last 30 days. Any download manager or accelerator will work to resume broken downloads. Most file extensions allowed. The only prohibited file extensions are PHP, CGI, PL, and HTML files. There is a download counter to show stats of how many file downloads. Currently has no delay counter for free file downloads (like many free file hosts have).

Nice, but 80mb limit is kind of low. Some free filehosts have larger filesize limits.

The file download link on the webpage is not real obvious at a glance because of all the ads on the file downloadpage, but the free filehosting service works well for me. I have had no problems at all, and the file transfer speeds were very fast.

I regularly visit sites that share files via OhShare, and can not say I am always thrilled with it. I often have to try to visit the OhShare page several times before I can get the download link to work. And sometimes have to wait until the next day to try again. Another error is that often the file, in this case an audio file, goes to a page with a Quicktime logo and a question mark, rather than downloading. These errors happen about 40-50% of the time. A user above says there are no ads, which is not true (except on the home page where the file uploader form is). No pop-up ads, yes, but google ads are on the download page. Not bad overall, good download speeds but, from the downloading end, far from the near-perfect rating it gets here.
