Free file hosting server which allows you to share files up to 500mb each, all with no bandwidth limits whatsoever. Unlimited uploads - host as many files as you want. Fast and easy to use, no need to register to upload. You can optionally email a link to the uploaded file to any email address. All filenames and file extensions supported. The upoaded file will be deleted after 30 days of inactivity. All files are hosted on cogentco.com linux dedicated servers on one of the most reliable datacenters in the US. The link provided after uploading takes you to a page with some ads and a link to click to download the file from their server.

How can you not give it 10?!! 500MB! I'm never gonna get over that! unlimited bandwidth! Unlimited files! 500MB file size - I only need 100mb!! THE BEST OUT OF ALL SITES I'VE EVER SEEN!! this must be a record number of "!" in one review!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So good. Can't stop writing. Words cannot express how good it is!!

1) As of this writing, there are many instances of failure to complete uploads. Started using the site on 9/25/05 with no problems (weekend). Monday morning, errors began showing up.
2) Downloads are spotty: repeatedly getting "too many connections on... line 6". Would seem to indicate inadequate bandwidth.
3) There is no indication on the upload page of the name of the file you are uploading, and no indication of the link that is being assigned to it. So you're in the dark until the address appears in the address bar, or, better yet, on the final result page.
4) If the upload appears to be finished but there's no result reported, you can try again. But this time, you may get the result that the file is already on the system. There's an error message that says, "Try renaming the file, or try uploading again in an hour". Not sure what this means. Seems that a filename like "test_this.txt" if resent as "testthis.txt" will be identified as a duplicate and rejected... perhaps special characters are parsed out? No documentation that I've found for this issue.
Bottom line: wonderful concept, very rough implementation to date.

I like how they let you upload every file type, but it all looks too old fashioned to me and there should be a subscription...something more like Photobucket but letting you upload pics, movies, and mp3's.

Tried to use this site for hosting an image file for a forum I use. Even though it claims I will get the links for the file after I uploaded it, this did not happen. My file just disappeared. Very poor in my opinion. Avoid.

I thought it was a joke, but it really isn't. 500 mb!!!, unlimited bandwidth uploads. That's all there is to it. Not to mention it's FREE.
