This is simply the best free hosting with no forced ads on your website, and with PHP and MySql Support. There are only 2 constraints imposed on your website:
1. file size limit is 500 kb. This is really not a problem, as normally that is large enough for uploading scripts, html pages, stylesheeets, images, etc., and you can use free file hosts for hosting videos, audios, and other large files for downloads. But if you want to upload streaming videos and heavy animations to your website server, then this will not work.
2. There is no SMTP support, so your mail scripts in your contact form will not work. This problem can be sorted by using some other SMTP address if you really want to put a contact form on your site.

I was first impressed by all the good things that awardspace is offering, BUT my experience with them was not good at all.
- They allow 500 KB for hosting per file, BUT they disallow most of file types except for html, php, and pics (like zip, avi, mp3), so what will you use this 500k file for?! You will need to use one of the free file hosting sites for those media filetypes.
- They have a words filters so they delete the pages that have any of those words, and if you ask what those forbidden words are, here is what they say: The forbidden words list is not and will not be shared with anyone ever. Asking to see the list is useless. Do not ask. If you do not like that there are forbidden words, get paid hosting (this is a sticky in their forum).
- My site was down a lot (almost weekly, though for short time periods), and all of the sudden it was reverted back to a previous point and all my updates were lost! Here is what you get when telling them that: AwardSpace is not responsible for any loss of data, but are sorry for loss of data. AwardSpace members (You) are responsible for their own data, backing it up onto their own machines. This is also in their ToS (this is probably the same as any free hosting povider, and most paid hosting also).
So before joining awardspace, I advise you to stop and think it over again. Anyway do not take my word for it. Just visit their forum and try to read how many problems there are, and the very rude answers people get.

AwardSpace is simply the best free web page hosting service there is. Not only do they have no ads on your web pages, but they allow FTP uploading, incoming mail, PHP, 2 domain hosts, and 5 subdomain hosts, and have very fast servers!
