"My File Hut" is a free file web hosting site on 3 dedicated linux servers. With the free file hosting account you get 250 megabytes of storage and 10 GB/month limit on bandwidth. Hotlinking or direct linking is allowed for auctions, forum posting, and other websites (free MP3 streaming enabled). There is a 50mb file size limit. Upload all your images, documents, music, video, audio, zip, rar, flash files, and more. All file types are accepted. Registration (free) is required, and there is a 30-day inactivity limit. The free file webhosting is powered by a custom version of the Uploader Celeron Dude script (has several unique mods). "MyFileHut tries to maintain a 99% server uptime, but makes no claims of reliability in serving or web hosting."

Their website is currently down, and just gives this error message: "Unable to open settings file data/settings/upl_settings.php".

This website is wonderful. 250MB is plenty of space, and they allow hotlinking files. If I had three thumbs, they would all be up.

If it were not for the loads of downtime, this would be the best free hosting service I have ever used. My only other complaint is the advertisement added to mp3's if they are directly linked to. But the upsides are fantastic: incredibly fast server, lots of bandwidth and storage space. It is great for using in webjay playlists, picture hosting, and file sharing. Like I said though, the downtime is a big problem! I think they were down for 2 weeks, but are back up now.

The free filehost has been the best I could find until recently. Since the begining of this month (December) my files have been either not loading at all or loading pitifully slowly, and for almost a week now the web site has been nonexistant as far as I can tell. I have recieved absolutely no email or other notification of any problems or that the host was going bye-bye. Sure I was using the free service, but some kind of notification of what is going on would be very very nice. Time to find a more reliable host I guess.

Will myFileHut.com always be around? I would like to know because I wound not like to lose all my files.

MyFileHut has been down over 4 days now, but should be back soon. The owner said they are working on the issue. They had a hard drive failure, and the DC is currently repairing it. Hopefully they had an up-to-date backup of all files.

Pretty much the best free hosting for files I have found. Some stuff may take a bit to load on my site every now and then, and the server can go down quite a bit, but overall, it is my favorite.

Not recomended for free audios hosting (maybe other filetypes are okay to host here). I hate that every hosted song has an intro message added to it.

Simply the best free files host! It is very easy to do and has good space and bandwith limitations, and is not limited to just hosting images.
