"My File Hut" is a free file web hosting site on 3 dedicated linux servers. With the free file hosting account you get 250 megabytes of storage and 10 GB/month limit on bandwidth. Hotlinking or direct linking is allowed for auctions, forum posting, and other websites (free MP3 streaming enabled). There is a 50mb file size limit. Upload all your images, documents, music, video, audio, zip, rar, flash files, and more. All file types are accepted. Registration (free) is required, and there is a 30-day inactivity limit. The free file webhosting is powered by a custom version of the Uploader Celeron Dude script (has several unique mods). "MyFileHut tries to maintain a 99% server uptime, but makes no claims of reliability in serving or web hosting."

I would (and have) certainly recommend myfilehut. It's rather easy to follow and, along with photobucket, the host I recommend to folks just learning how to hot link back to message boards. I've used myfilehut for over a year and, yes, there have been one or two outages but I figure that's the price of "free".

Great site for all those files that I want to hotlink and stream. It took me forever to find a website that will host those files. Streaming media might be slow however, due to bandwidth limitations. Still, one of the best web sites I've been to.

I totally LOVE myfilehut. the only problem I had was it took like almost 5 weeks for my activation email to show, but once it did, yah! I totally reccomend them to anyone!

It gives you an awesome storage capacity and ability for a free service. But it goes down about once a month for a couple of days, and the interface can be improved.

They are a really good site for uploading any kind of files you like good for myspace. they just need to keep it stable; that's all. I guess people just start noticing them and now they need more servers.

other than the occassional "cannot find server" error I get whenever I open myfilehut, the site is GREAT! if only they could fix that, they'll be BEST!
