This is a free hosting solution for hosting images free on auctions (eBay, Yahoo, etc.), bulletin boards, photo sharing, and more (hotlinking allowed). Signup is required (instant activation). You can upload 3 files at a time via browser, and there is automatic thumbnail generation, and customizable photo album. Limitations: 100 MB storage web space; 1 GB/month bandwidth limit; Maximum image size is 1 Megabyte; Allowed file extensions: JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF, BMP.

Excellent. Love everything. They don't force you to go to their site, allows hotlinking, don't modify the pictures with their site URL, and has a great system to organise your pictures. Highly recommended. I am a fan before the new system came up, and is still a fan.

Server speed is better after their upgrading and now they offer more features, although the hassle for signing up but it shouldn't take more than couples of seconds to own a fully featured account from them. Keep up the good work Pix8!

Pix8 has already notified everyone prior to their server migration 2 weeks ago and it was posted on the website index. What's more they can't possibly notified the users either other than the index because they don't hold email addresses. The new feature is certainly much better than the previous and offer more control for user like us - like creating folders and knowing how many times an image is viewed etc.

I put many pictures up on their server before they switched to where you have to sign up. I wasn't notified and ALL of my pictures were deleted. I used the site to host my xanga pictures and now I have to find a new place to host and re-upload/re-link everything. I don't know how good their service is right now, but if they could delete all of my pics before, what's stopping them from doing it again?

Pix8 is awesome. It requires signup now for a downside but I signed up and it was still good. You can't upload videos I think, but Zippyimages.com can but I've never tried videos.

For those with "Images uploaded before when no signup was required will be deleted after 7 days", signup and re-upload it or use zippyimages.com or if you made it for a friend, tell them to do either.

They have introduce a new system recently which requires the users to signup and do away the old instant upload. The new feature is impressive and it allows us to have more control in our images and it even allows us to create our own folders for better image categorization. Most importantly, they have introduced personalized online photo album that allows photo-sharing. Definitely A+

This site STINKS! I used the "no sign up" upload but now they took it off! And it says "If you used instant upload all your images will be deleted in a week!" I made blogs and backgrounds for people and uploaded them to Pix8 but now all of the people are going to have little red x's in the corner where the image is supposed to be!
