"Village Photos" is a free image host compatible with WebTV, eBay, Yahoo Auctions and Stores, other auction sites, EZBoard, and more. Free users get storage space for 50 images, URL filtering to prevent unauthorized hotlinking/bandwidth theft, access to their Page Designer HTML tools, image rotation/resize/compression, thumbnails, public and/or private online photoalbums (photo galleries) with titles/captions for each image, create and send online greeting cards using your own images, order prints of upload images, and can post the images on other websites. You can FTP upload images or use browser upload. Direct linking images is allowed ("hot linking"). Free signup is required. Several paid upgrade plans are also available for more features. Limitations: Maximum 50 images; GIF or JPG file formats supported; File size limit 250 KB; 1000 MB monthly data transfer (pictures in public photo albums have no bandwidth limits); 90-days inactivity limit.

The host limits free accounts to 300M of transfers a month, 50 images hosted, not sure what the size limit is on images. It used to be under 100K, but now it's over 100K. There's no real negatives to VillagePhotos at all. I've used them for a couple of years now, and I only recall them being down once. Unfortunately, I was running some auctions at the time, but that's not a bad record for the amount of time. The positives include an uncluttered interface, the ability to upload ten pics at a time (which is plenty when you can only host 50 in all). If I'm running auctions in a given month, I give them $5 for thirty days of unlimited downloads to eBay. All the limits I've listed above also increase, but I'm not sure what they increase to. When I'm selling, the only thing I'm interested in is the unlimited downloads. I would highly recommend VillagePhotos to anyone looking for a free host. I've tried a few, and none has impressed me more than them.

I've been using VillagePhotos to host images for a while now, and I am very happy with them. It's very easy to add new images, and they work almost instantaneously. If you need a host for images, VillagePhotos is an excellent choice.

Village photos is a dependable site, that's not only free but you can link your photos to their site! I don't know of many paying sites that I list my ad on, that will let me do that, and here village photos does and it's free! you have nothing to lose and only satisfaction to gain. I've never had a report that the website was down and my photos get viewed over 2 to 300 times a day and over 60,000 a month and I have used village photos for over 4 months. thanks again village photos, and i have your banner link on my website and hope many will check out your site for their own personal interest. what else could you ask for in a site?

I started out using the free space offered by Village Photos, and was amazed at how easy it is to use. I went to a paid subscription within a couple of months and have been a subscriber for about two years. Village Photos is easy to use - has a VERY low incidence of technical problems and provides quality photos for my auctions and personal folders. This is a truly professional site and well worth the reasonable monthly fee.

I rated a 9, but I do not know of any 10's. Would definately recommend. I have used for 2 years and have not experienced any down time. Fast uploads. Have not needed any support features. Emails are answered quickly. Only Negative: Does not offer substantial savings for longterm subscriptions.

As a free service, VillagePhotos.com sure is remarkably awesome free picture hosting website. The limitations for VillagePhotos.com is that you may not exceed 50 photos and you mustn't surpass your bandwidth. The monthly bandwidth is 600.00mb, which is more than plentiful to any hosting needs. However, I would like that VillagePhotos.com would increase the photos limit. I would certainly recommend VillagePhotos.com to anyone who was in need of image hosting. I would say that this service provider is fast and efficient. Bravo!

Fast image host and very reliable for eBay auction listings. In nearly 1-1/2 years of use, it has been reliable with almost no downtime. GREAT that they've expanded to a 50 pic limit. however, bandwith limitations.
