"The Image Hosting" is a free image hosting solution that can be used to share pictures with friends, post images on message boards and blogs, and direct link images from your personal website or online auction (hot linking allowed free). It generates thumbnails for photos that are larger than 200x200 pixels in resolution. Registration is required to use the service. Limitations: You may upload as many images as you like, as long as each of them is less than 1024 kb (1 MB) in size; File types allowed: .jpg, .jpeg .gif, .png, .swf (Flash files); You are not allowed to hot link fullsize images on any large-scale, non-forum websites; No images will be deleted for inactivity.

It looks like a very good image hosting site. They never delete your images, and hotlinking pictures is allowed. It has fast servers and registration oppoturnity, but registering is not required.

I have been with this image hosting site for as long as I could remember. I rate it the best because it is very stable hosting. I have not yet encountered any problems with my pictures not displaying at all. thanks to theimagehosting.com! cheers!

The service is excelent. It could be better if it gave a special link with the username of the member, like: theimagehosting/username/album-name
I do recommend this good site to everyone. I have been using it since last year. It has not been down much - very seldom. the free host server is fast and good. the supporting service is very good, and they answer very soon in case of any problems. all in all, this website is very good for free image hosting! well done!

As a newbie to the whole internet busines, I came across the ultimate bandwidth barrier, and my site got blocked for about three weeks. TheImageHosting is a very easy to use hosting service that allows even people without much HTML knowledge to add images to their site or blog. They even give you the html code you need to add to the html of your web site to make it visual. Just copy/paste and "et voila" - you have an image. No waiting to view images, no add-popups and so on, one neat redirect with a fast visualisation of the requested image without any hassel. It is the best free image host around.

I used to highly recommend this image hosting service, but I can no longer do that. Sometime within the past month or two they have started to NOT allow hotlinking to full size images. That defeats the purpose of an image hosting service in many instances. All of the full size images that I have displayed in my web journal do not show up anymore. There is a blank space where they used to be. Keep in mind, these are not extremely large 1600x1200 size images. Usually they are 400 pixels max on the largest side. So it is not like I was being a bandwidth hog or anything. I may be able to still use them for my online store, as I prefer to display thumbnails there, but The Image Hosting is no longer useful for my journal. Sadly, now I have to take time out of my busy schedule to research and locate a replacement free image hosting service.
