"Village Photos" is a free image host compatible with WebTV, eBay, Yahoo Auctions and Stores, other auction sites, EZBoard, and more. Free users get storage space for 50 images, URL filtering to prevent unauthorized hotlinking/bandwidth theft, access to their Page Designer HTML tools, image rotation/resize/compression, thumbnails, public and/or private online photoalbums (photo galleries) with titles/captions for each image, create and send online greeting cards using your own images, order prints of upload images, and can post the images on other websites. You can FTP upload images or use browser upload. Direct linking images is allowed ("hot linking"). Free signup is required. Several paid upgrade plans are also available for more features. Limitations: Maximum 50 images; GIF or JPG file formats supported; File size limit 250 KB; 1000 MB monthly data transfer (pictures in public photo albums have no bandwidth limits); 90-days inactivity limit.

Ever since I started using Village Photo I have not had a single bad experience. I used their free service for a few years and then upgraded to a subscription so that I could store more pictures. The quality of service is the same whether it is free or subscription. Uploads speeds are dependent on the PC and ISP connection you are using. Their host server seems to have decent speed. They go really fast now that I have a faster PC, but were a little slow on my older one. I have been using Village Photos for over 3 years, and the only limitations I have seen are storage space restrictions and upload utility tool that is only available to subscriptions. You can still upload, but not with the faster tool. I recommend them. I have been to other image hosting sites, both free and subscription, and Village Photos appears to have the most features (free service too) and best prices so far.

They provide free hosting, but with small bandwidth limitation. I have hosted here for 1 year, and it has had 99.99% uptime, with fast loading photos.

No problems with hosting and display of pictures, but I forgot my password and their link to retrieve it is not working, and customer service is so far unresponsive. As long as you do not forget your password, it is fine!

I find VillagePhotos to be one of the best out there. I am an Ebay seller, and I never have a problem. It is easy to do and my images always appear in my listings with great clarity and speed. You do not have to know HTML or be an expert. Signing up is as easy as it can be. I recommend VillagePhotos to all Ebay sellers and those of you who just need a place to host your photos free. Five stars rating! Thanks for the great service.

Their password retrieval option is horrible. I have asked to have my password sent to me a billion times, and the site says it will send it, but never does (maybe the problem is my email service provider). I have even e-mailed "support" and have not received a response. I have photos that I cannot get back because of this nuisance. So be careful to not lose your password for this site.

They are a little bit too wordy in their explanations of how to do things. Simple is best. Otherwise it is a good quality free images hosting web site.

I have enjoyed the ease of use and good service.  Unfortunately I do not like the offers (advertisements) I was made to look at.  I guess they pay the bill for the dedicated servers that host the files though. Anyway, overall I think it is a great freehosting package.

All good stuff. It could provide incentives to link them, and it is limited to gif and jpeg pictures, but apart from that, it is an excellent free images hosting server.
