Photo Bucket is a free image hosting company for ebay, online auctions, classifieds, message boards, blogs, live journals, and online photo albums. You can easily upload, categorize, add titles and delete images as needed. Direct linking is allowed, and there are tutorials for directlinking images on eBay auctions, MySpace, and Xanga. You can upload up to 20 pictures at once. Photos larger than 1 MB are automatically scaled down. Their BucketStamp is a dynamic imaging tool for you to share multiple images in a single link combined with some interesting animation, a form of photo gallery for your pictures. Limitations: 1 GB storage space; 25 GB/month bandwidth; 1MB (1024KB) file size limit; Extensions allowed: .jpg, .png, .gif, .bmp, .swf (Flash files); Images must not contain any weird characters (numbers and letters only). The uploader converts bmp and tif to jpg. You can view the most recently uploaded pictures. Users in the UK have the ability to take any of their images or photos and publish to their mobile phone. You can optionally upload images via a regular email address. Also now features free video hosting -- users can upload, share, and publish video clips free up to 3 minutes long and 100 MB filesize (5 minutes in length if you are a premium user). Now serves over 500 million images a day. Photobucket has partnered with FilmLoop to make it easy for users to instantly create their own photo "loops" from existing image albums by simply clicking on the "Loop It!" button/icon in their photoalbum. FilmLoop is a free photo broadcasting ("photocasting") network/application that lets you broadcast photo "loops" to all your friends and family, displaying the photos in a "loop" on your computer.

I enjoy Photobucket.com. it is so fast and easy to upload pics. The tags, html codes, and url are simple to use. And I have more than enough space on the free plan to post a good amout of pictures. Also, their pics can be used on LJ, xanga, and all other journal sites, unlike other places that do not allow it.

at first i thought it's really great, can upload, save so many pic, but im wrong. i keep uploading the same picture for 2 days but always failed. really waste my time.

Photobucket was down for over an hour today. May 20, 12:00-13:00 gmt+1, the time I checked. Images, nothing worked - "Unable to resolve host name". When this happens to Imageshack, just a small portion of the site is broken. The blog mentions this occurance, and: "The site will be in a read only mode during this time and some images will be offline for a brief time." which sounds awfully incorrect vs what happened.

I have used various free photo hosting services. I had used photobucket infrequently but liked the ability to submit multiple pics at one time. Just purchased 3 months worth a little over a week ago, to use for eBay auctions. The first week, at the exact time several auctions were ending, the photos were inaccessible from my computer. After checking with several family members that were also watching from other residences throughout the city, they told me the same thing. Since then, (and even at the present moment) it is hit or miss whether you will experience problems viewing the images. I've noticed on the forum where I post pics, my images are now the slowest to load on a page full of other posters' pictures. It's very frustrating!

I've used Photobucket since 2003 for my journal posts and it has not yet given me any problems. The space is awesome if we compare it with the other image hosters but it could be improved. I have hundreds of images in there and I am still able to upload more images. It's totally user friendly and very fast to upload images. I've uploaded everthing from still images to animations. It provides url and html code for easy posting. Plus, now I can directly post the pics to my livejournal from photobucket.com. This host is higly recommended.

its easy to use, has ample space, automatically resizes files if they are like 1 mb to 200 kb or so. and doesnt have a retarded sign that says hosted by photoshop, like image shack does. thanks photobucket.
