It can also be used to direct link images from your personal website or eBay auction. No signup required. Powered by highly reliable Linux dedicated server network. Limitations: File size limit 1.5 MB; File types allowed: jpg, jpeg, png, gif, bmp, tif, tiff, swf (Flash). Their FAQ states that the freely hosted images will not be deleted from their hosting servers unless the image files violate their Terms of Service (TOS).

ImageShack is THE BEST image hosting site. Bandwidth doesn't get exceeded like Photobucket. They accept more image types and take in bigger files too. I don't like that you can't direct link to .bmp images but other than that, this site is great!

negative aspects: i wish i could allow several computers to connect to the same cookied/email associated stored gallery.
positive aspects: the easy copy and pasting of the hotlinking is a plus. i would recommend this free host, and i've been using it for a couple months without problems. i don't know of/remember any downtime. the host is usually fast and i've never needed to use the web host's support so i guess that is a good thing. one thing i really like is that i dont have to sign in in order to upload to my picture gallery.

good stuff. I use this site all the time for posting images on forums. I don't have to worry about maintaining my own server space, and I enjoy the anonymity.

This is the absolute best picture host I've ever found. I've been using them since the summer of 2004. There is very minimal downtime, I'd recommend them to anyone!

I think that imageshack.us is the best image hosting service on the web. I think this because its free and fast and also its easy to sign up and hosts your images.
