Limitations: File size limit 1.5 MB; File types allowed: jpg, jpeg, png, gif, bmp, tif, tiff, swf (Flash). Their FAQ states that the freely hosted images will not be deleted from their hosting servers unless the image files violate their Terms of Service (TOS).

A great image host that I would definitely recommend, been using it for 2-3 months now, no downtime that I noticed thought it happened once or twice to suffer a general slowdown for a few hours. No registration is necessary but registered users can get a very useful recap of all the images they have posted and the code to use them, or delete those no longer used. They seem to hold true to their policy not to spam or resell the email you provide.

How can I go wrong with this? I am so tired of taking a pic from some place and posting it in my site just to have it retrieved shortly thereafter by the owner who then accuses me of stealing. Although he is correct, it is still aggravating. I am not out to steal. I only take pics I like to look at. But now I don't have to steal. ImageShack is helping me. Thanks a mil, I.S.

I cannot think of any limitations or negative aspects. It is a great place to host images with no worry. I would definitely recommend this free host. I am a new user to this host, only a week old, but haven't seen any downtime in this period. Great place.
