Limitations: File size limit 1.5 MB; File types allowed: jpg, jpeg, png, gif, bmp, tif, tiff, swf (Flash). Their FAQ states that the freely hosted images will not be deleted from their hosting servers unless the image files violate their Terms of Service (TOS).

Extremely reliable, slightly hard to navigate. Very fast. Easy url, easy to upload. fast & free, the perfect temporary host. Thumbnails, multiple uploads, and you can track the pictures you've uploaded.

I've been through about 4 image hosts in 2 years, never finding them up to snuff, and they were pay services. Imageshack is the most reliable hosting I've used, as well as the easiest to use. When you upload a pic, it gives you all the different types of code that you would use to link the pic, so there's no question for those not in the know how to link their pics.
